Amazon listing video
Amazon product video requirements, file limits and upload steps
Amazon sellers need a Professional selling account, at least three months of selling history, and live listings to upload shoppable product videos. Here are the file limits, placement rules, and upload path in one place.
The five requirements to know first
These are the current official answers that determine whether you can upload and how the file will appear.
Seller eligibility
A Professional selling account, at least three months of selling history, and live product listings are required. Brand Registry is not required.
Format
Amazon accepts MOV and MP4 product-video files.
Resolution and size
Upload resolution can be up to 1080p and each file can be up to 5 GB.

Match one video to one unanswered buyer question
Included parts
Show what arrives and which pieces matter before setup begins.
Setup
Keep the connection point and confirming action visible from start to finish.
Scale
Put the product in a hand, room, vehicle, or familiar setting so size stops being abstract.
Operation
Show the part that moves, the action that causes it, and the visible result.
Complete product
End on a stable view that confirms shape, finish, and configuration.
Run a pass-or-fix check before export
- The product and every included part match the listing.
- Small text, controls, openings and hardware have not changed.
- The first frame makes the subject clear without relying on audio.
- The action is slow enough to understand on a phone.
- The file is MOV or MP4, no larger than 5 GB, no higher than 1080p, and between 1 and 12 minutes.
- No claim, badge, review, price or comparison appears without approval.
Upload through Amazon's video manager
Open the manager
Open Catalog and choose Upload and Manage Videos.
Add the details
Choose the file and add the requested title, ASIN, type, language, brand, and thumbnail.
Submit for review
Submit the completed video for Amazon review.
Check the live page
Check processing and the live product page after approval.
If the video is approved but still missing
Open Catalog → Upload and Manage Videos and read the status. Published videos normally appear within three days after approval. If a Published video is missing from the main media block, the product must have fewer than six images. Holiday review can take up to seven business days, and the most recently uploaded video receives display priority.
Frequently asked questions
Amazon listing video FAQ
Practical answers for export settings, placement, review and conversion.
What video format does Amazon accept?
Amazon accepts MOV and MP4 files up to 5 GB, with resolution up to 1080p and duration from 1 to 12 minutes. For reliable processing, export a standard H.264 MP4 unless your production workflow specifically requires MOV.
How long can an Amazon product video be?
The technical range is 1 to 12 minutes, but Amazon notes that many effective listing videos are 30 to 90 seconds. Put the main feature or buyer answer in the first 5 to 10 seconds, then use the remaining time only for evidence that helps the decision.
How many product videos can I add to one ASIN?
Amazon allows up to four shoppable videos per ASIN. Use those slots for different buyer questions—such as setup, scale, operation, and included parts—instead of repeating the same showcase with different edits.
Why is an approved Amazon video not showing on the product page?
Open Catalog → Upload and Manage Videos and read the status. A Published video normally appears within three days after approval. The product must have fewer than six images for video to enter the main media block, and the most recently uploaded video gets priority. During holiday periods, review can take up to seven business days.
Who can upload an Amazon shoppable product video?
Amazon currently requires a Professional selling account, at least three months of selling history, and live product listings. Both Brand Registry sellers and sellers who are not brand registered can upload shoppable videos when those conditions are met; Brand Registry enrollment is not a requirement for this placement.
